招生要求

Admission to the radiology program is selective, with registration in radiology courses by permission only. Admission to the college does not guarantee admission to the radiology program. To be considered for acceptance into the program, applicants must submit all required application information by June 1st of the admission year.

Minimum Application Requirements

  1. Apply and be accepted to 体育博彩平台
  2. High School Transcript or GED on file with GC Admissions
  3. Transcripts from colleges or universities previously attended

  5. Completion of Application and Verification Statement form
  6. Completion of pre-requisite course Anatomy and Physiology lecture/lab I & 我得C或C以上
    • Attempting more than three (3) will result in zero admissions points
    • 如果一个&P courses were taken over 5 years ago, applicants must earn 75% or higher on the Anatomy and Physiology portion of the HESI test.
  7. Completion of one core course; ENGL 1301 Comp & 花言巧语我, PSYC 2301 General Psychology, and Lang/Phil/Culture/Creative Arts Core courses with a C or better.
  8. Have an average score of 74.5% or higher on the HESI entrance exam.

  9. Have a minimum cumulative college GPA of 2.5. If the applicant is below 2.5个以上2个.4, they must submit a written request to the program for a waiver

All students must submit through Verified Credentials a copy of the following immunizations with a valid stamp or signature, signed statement from a physician, or lab report indicating serologic immunity. Please note that some of these immunizations take up to six months to complete. Immunizations must be started in time to complete the series before the October 1 of the application year. If unable to complete the series before beginning of class, the applicant is not eligible for admission.

  1. Tetanus / Diphtheria / Pertussis (Tdap) - One dose of the Tetanus / diphtheria / pertussis (Tdap) immunization within the last 10 years.
  2. 麻疹, 流行性腮腺炎, Rubella (MMR) (Immunization or blood test proving immunity) - If born after January 1, 1957, must have proof of two doses of the MMR vaccine administered on or after the 1 st birthday and at least 30 days apart – or – proof of serologic immunity.
  3. Varicella (Chickenpox) (Immunization or blood test proving immunity) - Series of two Varicella vaccines at least 30 days apart – or – proof of serologic immunity. 历史 of the disease is not acceptable.
  4. Hepatitis B (Immunization or blood test proving immunity) - Series of three Hepatitis B vaccines – or proof of serologic immunity. This series takes 6 months to complete.
  5. Influenza Vaccine - Annual influenza immunization as recommended by the CDC in the fall of each year.

Due to compliance with clinical facility requirements and the Texas Department of Health recommendations, GC Health Science programs may not waiver immunization requirements for any reason. If immunizations are not complete, application to the program must be delayed.

  • Attend a mandatory orientation. Failure to attend the required orientation following acceptance will result in loss of admission to the program.
  • The following are required before starting the program clinicals in the second semester or otherwise indicated by the radiology department:
    • BLS CPR — American Heart Association or American Red Cross

    • Physical Exam (see information packet)
    • Complete any outstanding immunization requirements
  • Immunization and Health Documents: Applicants must maintain paper copies of immunization records and health documents because a document and immunization tracking company (Verified Credetials) will be used if accepted. The applicant is responsible for payment of the subscription (more information will be provided in orientation).
  • Drug Test: Students must pass a urine drug screen and an additional criminal background check at the beginning of the first clinical course.
